Face to Face and Online.

One to one

Group lessons

Adults and Children

Lessons are very relaxed and tailored to suit each student. Creativity is very much encouraged, and I believe building confidence is key to progress.

My main aim is for my students to enjoy coming to the lessons and feel inspired enough to go home and practice!

Teaching Experience

‘Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun.’

As a teacher I aim to influence students, not only their educational development, but help to instil confidence to help grow as a person. I aim to create a space where they can take risks, express their creativity, be honest and open.

My lessons are based on my own experience as a working musician.

After finishing my studies at BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music) I set up my own private music teaching school.

I had a large student base. Students ranged from 5 to 65 years old. As well as teaching one to one and group lessons, I also ran choirs, hosted summer schools,  and workshops.

I  then took some time out to travel the world. My first stop was India where I had the privilege of doing a music workshop at Educators trust in Anjuna, Goa. A charity run school for children with families living in slums.

I finally landed in New Zealand, where I worked as a musician and taught  for New Zealand School of Rock for a short time.

I have experience working within school settings and working with  large groups of children and children with SEN.
